Askarbek Yertayev

He was born in 1977 in Aktobe. He graduated from Zhubanov Aktobe State University and the NUR Aktobe Institute of Management, Business and Law.

From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a specialist in the Akimat of the Mugalzhar District of the Aktobe Region, marking the beginning of his professional career.

From 2000 to 2014, he worked in the banking sector.

From 2014 to 2014, he served as Acting Chief Expert at the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2014 to 2021, he held a number of senior positions at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including Chief Expert, Head of Department, Deputy Director of the Department, and Director of the Department.

From 2021 to 2022, he served as Head of Sector in the Analytical Department of the Security Council of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2022 to 2023, he served as Head of the Economic Department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the Government Office.

From 2023 to 2024, he served as Chairman of the Migration Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2024 to 2025, he served as Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On 27 January 2026, by Presidential Decree, he was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
