Chairman of Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee appointed

By the Order of the Minister for Investments and Development, Arman Shakkaliyev was appointed Chairman of the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Arman Shakkaliyev was born in 1977 in the Karaganda region. He graduated from the Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in law, Buketov Karaganda State University with a degree in economics, Dulatov Kostanay Engineering and Economics University with a specialty “Standardization, Certification and Metrology.” He is a Corresponding Member of the International Engineering Academy, a scientist-engineer.

He began his labor activity as a legal adviser of JSC Agency for the Reorganization and Liquidation of Enterprises in Astana and Akmola region.

He was a department head at the Reserve RSE of the Agency of Kazakhstan for State Material Reserves, deputy chairman of the Committee on Work with Insolvent Debtors of the Ministry of Finance, director of the Department for State Assets Management Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning.

He has worked in the system of technical regulation since 2004 as a director of Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology RSE.

From June 2008 to April 2016, he was director of the Republican State Enterprise Kazakhstan Institute for Standardization and Certification.

In April 2016, he was appointed director of Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
