Bakytzhan Sagintayev presents new minister to the staff of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan

September 18 the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev introduced the new minister Alikhan Smailov to the staff of the Ministry of Finance.

By the decree of the Head of State Alikhan Smailov was appointed minister of finance.

"You all know him, he was a vice minister of finance, held various public positions, including an assistant to the President for the economic part. He knows the financial sphere well. Alikhan Smailov is an experienced specialist and leader. I am confident that in his new position he will justify the trust of the Head of State," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said during the presentation.

The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Finance faces a big task on the budget issue. All work on its implementation must be done in a high-quality and timely manner. At the same time, it was instructed to pay special attention to the work on the tax part.

At the same time, the Prime Minister thanked Bakhyt Sultanov for joint fruitful work and wished successes in his new place. Recall, by the Decree of the Head of State Bakhyt Sultanov was appointed akim of Astana.

It should be noted that September 18, 2018, the candidature of AlikhanSmailov was approved at the meeting of the Chamber's Committee for Finance and Budget for appointment to the post of Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan. This issue was considered at the meeting of the Committee in accordance with Article 22-1 of the Constitutional Law "On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Status of its Deputies."
