Anatoly Shkarupa appointed vice minister of energy of Kazakhstan

By the Decree of the Government, Anatoly Shkarupa was appointed to the post of vice minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. B. Dzhaksaliev, who previously held this post, has been relieved.

Anatoly Shkarupa was born in 1975 in the Almaty region. In 1998, he graduated from the Almaty Institute of Energy and Communications with a degree in economics and management in the sectors of the fuel and energy complex, an engineer-economist, in 2016 — KAZGUU University with a degree in law.

He began his career in 1998 as a leading specialist at KEGOK OJSC, where he worked until 2005, holding the position of head of department, deputy director of the Planning and Economic Analysis Department.

In 2005–2013 worked in the structure of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of natural monopolies. He has held the posts of Director of the Department for Regulation in the Field of Electrical and Thermal Power Engineering, Deputy Chairman of the Agency.

2013–2014 — chairman of the board of Kazakhstan Center for Housing and Public Utilities Modernization and Development JSC.

2015–2017 — akim of the city of Sarani, Karaganda region.

From May 2017 to the present, he served as deputy akim of the Karaganda region.
