By order of the Minister of Finance, Abylkair Skakov was appointed chair of the Financial Monitoring Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Prime Minister’s Press Service reports.
Abylkair Skakov was born in 1974 in Pavlodar region. He graduated from the Akmola Finance and Economic College, Shakarim Semipalatinsk State University, Kazakh Institute of Law and International Relations, Moscow State University named after Lomonosov.
He began his career in 1991. From 1996 to 2010 he worked in the Tax Committee for the Pavlodar region. In 2008-2010,he was head of the Tax Administration of Pavlodar city of the Tax Department of Pavlodar region. In 2010-2012 he was head of the Tax Department for Kostanay region.
In 2012-2014 he was deputy chair of the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance. From 2014 he worked as head of the State Revenue Department in the city of Astana.
From December 2016 to April 23, 2019, he has served as vice minister of defense.
