Asset Magauov appointed vice minister of energy

The Government of Kazakhstan made a number of personnel changes, the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reports.

By the Decree of the Government, Asset Marauovich Magauov was appointed vice minister of energy. Bolat Akchulakov was relieved of his post according to the application.

Asset Magauov was born Nov. 28, 1972, in the Qulsary town of the Atyrau region. He graduated from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, he was an intern at the International Monetary Fund and the Asian Development Bank. He began his career in 1994. Over the years, he worked at Tengizmunaygaz JSC, Kazakhoil CJSC, Oil and Gas Transportation JSC, KazMunaiGas NC JSC, Tengizchevroil LLP, Mangistaumunaygas JSC. In 2008–2010 he was vice minister of energy and mineral resources; 2010–2011 he was vice minister of oil and gas of Kazakhstan. From December 2017, he served as the general director of the KAZENERGY Association.

In addition, by the Decree of the Government, Madina Abylkassymova has been relieved as first vice minister of national economy due to her transfer to another job.

By order of the Minister of Culture and Sports, Kuat Borash has been relieved as chair of the Language Policy Committee.
