Chair of Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy appointed

By order of the Minister of Energy, Shangitbayev Abay Mukhtarovich was appointed chair of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

Abay Shangitbayev graduated from the Department of Automation and Control System of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute as an electrical engineer.

He began his career in 1988 as a communications electrician, engineer for the relay protection and automation services at the Southern Electric Networks Enterprise of ZapKazEnergo RU.

In 1991, he worked as an engineer for relay protection, automation, and measurement at the Eastern Electric Networks Enterprise RU ZapKazEnergo.

In 1999, he was an inspector of the energy inspection of ZKRU Gosenergonadzor of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2004, he was an inspector of the Sales Department, head of the Khromtau District Electricity Plot of Aktobeenergo OJSC.

In 2013, he was head of the Khromtau Distribution Zone, Deputy Head of the Production and Technical Service, Head of the Production and Technical Service of Energosystem System LLP.

In 2015, he was the chief expert of the Department for Monitoring, Coordination of Territorial Units and Work with Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities, the Head of the Department for Supervision and Control of Electric Networks and Electrical Installations of Consumers of the State Energy Supervision and Control Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2015, he was deputy director of the Department of Electric Power of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2016, he was head of the territorial Department of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the city of Astana.

From November 2016, he has been deputy chair of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
