Today at the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the report of the First Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Aytuganov on the progress in the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship was heard.

Kairat Aytuganov reported that this year the following funds are provided for the implementation of the corresponding Program:

• 27.1 billion tenge for a budget loan for microcrediting;
• 2.8 billion tenge for guarantee of microcredits;
• 418 million tenge for subsidizing operating expenses of MFIs

In addition the authorized capital of the Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture JSC  has been replenished by 25.4 billion tenge for agricultural cooperation microcrediting.

As of August 1, 2017, from the 27.1 billion tenge provided under the Program 13.7 billion tenge (51%) was used. 2909 microcredits were issued including 1 213 microcredits for cooperatives for milk procurement and for the creation of family commercial dairy farms for the amount of 5.5 billion tenge; 766 microcredits to cooperatives for the creation of fattening grounds for the amount of 2.0 billion tenge; 799 microcredits in other areas for the amount of 6.2 billion tenge.

Thanks to these measures, under the program "Productive employment" 2661 workplaces were created, 1 290 new individual entrepreneurs were registered, 1 380 start-up projects were financed.

In total, 517 cooperatives were created within the framework of the work, covering more than 53.5 thousand private households, including 173 cooperatives for milk procurement, 281 cooperatives for the production and procurement of meat, 41 for the production of fruits, 22 for the production of wool, camel milk, poultry meat, honey, intensive gardening and commodity fish farming, as well as 1 835 family fattening sites for 30 573 heads of cattle.
