Bakytzhan Sagintayev gives speech at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in extended format

In Astana with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in extended format took place, according to the results of which a number of multilateral documents have been signed.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Sagintayev, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Jeenbekov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia K. Karapetyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus A.Kobyakov, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D.Medvedev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission T. Sargsyan spoke at the meeting.

In his speech Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted the positive dynamics of the trade turnover growth both within the framework of EurAsEC, and in trade with third countries. The prescribed pace of work allows to consider and quickly react on the most actual issues of the Eurasian Economic Union functioning.

In addition to that, the work on creation of the barrier-free zone at the internal market of EurAsEC for the further development will be continued. Member States of the EIGC are working on the preparation of road maps for the removal of more than 60 obstacles.

In addition, among the issues raised by the Kazakhstan side were the discussion of the draft Concept for the formation of a common financial market, the adoption of shipping contracts, the procedure and conditions for removing technical barriers in mutual trade with third countries, and the creation of a common labor market.

At the same time, the issues of further development of spheres of industry, agro-industrial complex and commercialization of scientific developments have been considered. A proposal was also made to ensure equal access to seaports, irrespective of the exporter's affiliation with a particular member state of the EurAsEC.

A number of multilateral documents were signed at the EIGC meeting, among them: Orders of the Intergovernmental Council: "On the crediting and distribution of amounts of import customs duties between the budgets of the member states of the EurAsEC in 2016", "On some issues of using trading platforms for the organization of centralized trade within the framework of the general electricity market of EurAsEC and financing activities for the formation of the common electricity market of the EurAsEC", "On the time and place of the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council".

The instructions of the Intergovernmental Council: "On the progress in the preparation of the main directions for the implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union", "On the progress of the draft Agreement on the provision of pensions for workers of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union", "On the submission of reports on monitoring the practice of customs declaration of goods, in respect of which the decisions of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council of October 16, 2015, No. 22, formed in accordance with paragraph 4 "On certain issues related to the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization" risk profiles" and "On carrying out internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Treaty on the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union on 11 April 2017" are applied.

The participants of the meeting adopted a joint decision to hold the next meeting of EIGC in Yerevan (Armenia) in October this year.
