The President of Kazakhstan holds a meeting with Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian University Tlektes Espolov

During the meeting, the Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian University presented information on the activities and prospects for the University’s progress.

"To date, we hold membership in eleven international consortia. Since 2015; we have participated in the QS EECA 2016 – a dedicated ranking of the top universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia, being 67 among 150 universities in the first year. At present, and there are about 50 scientific projects in the University's activity," T.Espolov said.

The Rector informed the Head of the State about the University’s agrotechnological hub, the activities of which will contribute to the innovative development of the domestic agro-industrial complex.

"The agro-hub is intended to search, attract and transfer new technologies, knowledge, start-up projects, and for the purposes of public-private partnership, self-financing and autonomy of the higher education institution as well," T.Espolov concluded.

The President of Kazakhstan laid stress on viability of creating a scientific centre in the field of agriculture throughout the country.

"It is necessary to improve the efficiency of implementing the results of scientific research and training of specialists. In addition, the production of competitive, export-oriented agricultural products should grow," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
