By Decree No. 537 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev of August 29, 2017, Dossayev Yerbolat Askarbekovich was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Y. Dossayev was born in 1970 in the city of Alma-Ata.

In 1987 he graduated from the Republican Physics and Mathematics Boarding School in Alma-Ata.

He graduated from Almaty Energy Institute, Moscow State Technical University after Bauman.

In 1997, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Bank TuranAlem CJSC, Chairman of the Board of ATF Bank CJSC;

In 1998 he worked as an adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 1998 he held the post of Vice Minister of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2000 he was Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2001, he chaired the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan;

In 2001-2003 he worked in the position of Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Support of Small Business;

In 2003-2004 he occupied positions of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; the Manager of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Kazakhstan; Member of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2004-2006 he was the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2006-2012 he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KazInvestBank JSC;

Since September 25, 2012 he was the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan.

Since January 16, 2013 he was the Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan.

On August 6, 2014, by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan (No. 880), he was appointed Minister of National Economy.

April 30, 2015 by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan (No. 5), he was reassigned the Minister of National Economy.

2016-2017 he was the head of the Baiterek National Holding Company.
