Askar Zhumagaliyev appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 536 of August 29, 2017, Zhumagaliyev Askar Kuanyshevich was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Askar Zhumagaliyev was born in 1972 in the Orenburg region of the RSFSR.

He graduated from the Sverdlovsk Suvorov Military School.

Then he graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University (Alma-Ata) with a major in Radio Communication, Broadcasting and Television.

He received a second degree in law in the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University.

He received his Master's degree in electronic management from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne.

In 1996-1998 he held the post of general director of Zharyk LLP;

In 1998-1999 he worked as the head of the Sector of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 1999-2000 – The Chief specialist, the Head of the Transport Control Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2000 he held the post of the Head of the RSE "Republican Center for Billing of Telecommunication Traffic";

In 2001-2003 – The Head of the State Communications Supervision Department, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2003-2005 – The Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Informatization and Communication;

In 2004-2005 – Acting Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Informatization and Communication;

In 2005-2006 – First Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Informatization and Communication;

In 2006 he held the post of Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Informatization and Communications;

In 2006-2010 – The President of Kazakhtelecom JSC;

In 2010-2012 – The Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2012-2014 – The Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

In 2014 – The Chairman of the Agency for Communications and Information;

In 2014-2015 – The Deputy Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

From 2015 to 2017 he held the post of Chairman of the Board of Kazatomprom NAC JSC.
