Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting with Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla

Today in Astana Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla.

During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries in various spheres of the economy, science and technology, as well as between financial and investment structures of the two countries in the field of Islamic banking were discussed.

B. Sagintayev expressed gratitude to J. Kalla for participation in the First OIC Summit on Science and Technology and assured that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding cooperation through the allocation of the leading Islamic financial organizations of Indonesia in the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), as well as in creating joint Kazakh-Indonesian Islamic financial institutions on its basis.

The topic of implementing the initiative of the Head of our State N. Nazarbayev on creating a system of food security in the space of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was also touched.
