G. Atamkulova: Innovative agroprojects of Kazakhstan were among the best at Expo-2017

Today, during a press conference in the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on application of new technologies presented at Expo-2017, Deputy Chairman of the Board of KazAgro JSC Gulnaz Atamkulova told about the exposition of KazAgro, which revealed the effectiveness of the application of "green" technologies in rural economy and demonstrated the potential of Kazakhstan in the production of organic products.

Visitors got acquainted with the modern stage of development of the domestic agro-industrial complex and prospects of organic agriculture in Kazakhstan, had the opportunity to make a virtual tour of the projects of KazAgro, in which resource-saving technologies are applied.

For example, the guests of the exhibition could get acquainted with the production of dry mare's milk, see the full cycle of production and processing of turkey meat, visit the country's largest industrial greenhouse, and also in the production of dietary dairy products.

"Over the whole period of the Expo-2017 exhibition, the exposition of the holding was visited by more than 10 thousand people from different countries of the world," G. Atamkulova noted.

According to the representative of KazAgro, AgroInvestForum 2017 was organized within the framework of the exhibition on August 25, 2017. More than 200 participants from 18 countries of the world took part in it, including about 40 representatives of large foreign investment funds and financial organizations, as well as representatives of Kazakhstan and foreign agribusiness.

As a result of the forum, a number of important agreements and memorandums were signed to attract investments in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan, in support of its economic diversification.

These include a financial agreement between the European Investment Bank and Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC for the amount of €100 million for small and medium-sized enterprises lending of the AIC of Kazakhstan; Agreement on the implementation of the project for the construction of a modern greenhouse complex of 20 hectares in the Aktobe region between FoodVentures (Holland), ADM Capital (Hungary) and Green Capital Kazakhstan LLP (RK); Agreement on the creation of an agrarian fund for direct investments between KazAgro Holding JSC and Da Vinci Capital.
