The main events of the week from 9 to 14 October 2017.

• On October 10, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, B. Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Bozumbayev reported on providing the population with fuel and lubricants. Issues on the implementation of the State Health Development Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Densaulyk" for 2016-2019, modernization in the sphere of social assistance and employment of the population, a comprehensive plan for the formation of the food belt in Astana, training and retraining of specialists in the digital economy were considered.
• On Wednesday, October 11, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with the directors of the leading scientific medical centers of the country. The main directions of development of medical science in the republic were discussed.
• On Thursday, October 12, the Prime Minister chaired the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of JSC "NC "Kazakh Invest". The issues of further development of the company and improvement of the work on attracting investors within the framework of the National Investment Strategy Program were considered.
• Also last week, at the press center of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, briefings and press conferences were held dedicated to the results of the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017.
• In particular, the issues of introduction of innovative technologies, prospects for implementing scientific projects in the field of renewable energy sources, presented at the Expo-2017 by the universities of the country, the results of international meetings held within the exhibition, as well as the selection of foreign pavilion technologies were raised.
• Representatives of the Ministries of Education and Science, Investments and Development, Energy, Kazakh Invest, as well as leaders of the leading universities of the country and members of the expert working group answered questions from journalists.
