Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

During the meeting, issues of further development of trade and economic cooperation, in particular in the fields of agriculture, mineral resources and transport were discussed. In addition, the prospects for cooperation in the tourism sactor were considered.

This year, the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Vietnam celebrated 25th anniversary.

The foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Vietnam in January-August 2017 amounted to $364.7 million, which is 79.4% higher than in the same period last year. Exports from Kazakhstan to Vietnam in January-August 2017 increased by 125.2% to $192.9 million.
