On the practical application of technologies and new scientific methods presented at the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017, rector of Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute, Yerkin Abil told at a briefing in the press center of the Government.
According to the rector of the KSPI, ten projects were selected, the implementation of which is possible on the territory of the region. For example, the communal enterprise of the city "Kostanay Su" has planned the implementation of two projects. One of them is a sewage accumulator with an area of 7,000 hectares, up to 50 million cubic meters. The application of the new technology will clean the accumulators to environmental requirements, which, accordingly, will improve the ecology of the city and the region.
Lights on solar panels are used for street lighting in Lisakovsk. Also, it is being planned to cooperate with German colleagues on installation of an innovative gas boiler at the local source. The new equipment will monthly save 3.5 million tenge.
Together with large projects, small ones are being introduced, which already have a visible effect.
"One such example – in the gymnasium of our university we have switched all incandescent lamps to LED. Net savings amounted to about 800 thousand tenge per year. However, our task is not even an economic effect, but a change in students' consciousness, the introduction of ecological consciousness and activation of research activity of students," the rector said.
All projects of the region, after clarifying the cost and a specific implementation plan, will be collected in a single roadmap.
"The main mission of the modern university is seen in the training of a new generation of specialists to work in the high-tech fields being created. Work in this direction in our institute has been conducted since 2012. At all faculties, student research groups have been established with an additional experimental site. In order to stimulate the design and research activities of students, a startup competition is held annually, for which more than one million tenge has been allocated,” Y. Abil noted.
Students of the faculty of natural sciences conduct research, where they use solar energy and apply moisture-saving technologies in the open field. As the rector noted, a student of Anastasia Borodina received a scientific project "Energy-saving technologies in the city of Kostanay", which is devoted to the search for ways of energy saving in the housing and communal sector.
"Thus, Expo-2017 allowed to ensure long-term socio-economic effect, gave impetus to further diversification and modernization of the country's economy, Kazakhstan's transition to a green economy, development of the tourism industry, hotel business, services," Y. Abil concluded.
