Today at the press conference in the press center of the Government, president of JSC "KTZh-Cargo Transportation" Oralhan Kulakov announced the results of the company's activities for 10 months of 2017.

According to Oralkhan Kulakov, during the first 10 months of this year, cargo turnover increased by 11% compared to last year and amounted to 216.7 billion ton-kilometers. Compared to the level of the last year, loading has increased by 12%.

As the speaker noted, the growth in the indicators for all types of communications is associated with an increase in the transport of coal, iron ore, construction materials, chemicals and fertilizers.

"The national operator KTZh-Cargo Transportation provides full transport of socially significant cargoes — coal and grain. For 10 months of 2017 NC ‘KTZh’ transported 83.9 million tons of coal, which is by 11 million tons or 15% higher than the level of the last year," Oralkhan Kulakov said.

For Kazakhstani consumers, 56.6 million tons were transported inside the country. By the end of this year, it is planned to transport about 107 million tons of coal, which is 17% higher than the result of 2016.

The President of JSC "KTZh-Cargo Transportation" assured that the company has enough wagons to ensure transportation of coal to the regions of Kazakhstan. Currently, a park of open wagons of JSC Kaztemirtrans is involved in the park of NC "KTZh", the share of which is more than 40% of the total park of open-top wagons in Kazakhstan.

Thanks to the work done in conjunction with the akimats on the timely accumulation of coal reserves, all the thermal power plants in Kazakhstan are provided with the required level of coal reserves.

As for grain transportation, in the first 10 months of this year, 6.7 million tons were transported.

In conclusion, O. Kulakov noted that the existing fleet of grain trucks and covered wagons, provided that the terms of turnover of wagons are observed, is sufficient to provide 1.5 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent.
