Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of Council of Eurasian Development Bank

Today in Ukimet Uyі, the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

During the meeting, current and perspective directions of the bank's activity, issues of cooperation with international financial institutions, implementation of joint integration projects, as well as enhancement of competitiveness were discussed.

All EDB member countries took part in the videoconference. The Council unanimously approved the candidacy of A. Belyaninov for the post of chairman of the board of the bank.

Recall, the Eurasian Development Bank was established on the basis of an interstate agreement signed on January 12, 2006. The initiative of creating the Bank belongs to the presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Bank is an international financial organization designed to promote the economic growth of member states, expand trade and economic ties between them and develop integration processes in the Eurasian space through investment activities.
