President of Kazakhstan holds a meeting with Abay Baigenzhin, the Board Chairman of National Research Medical Centre

During the meeting, Abay Baigenzhin presented to the Head of State the report on the key outcome of the medical institution's activities.

"Since 2003, cardiac mortality has decreased by more than three times. At the same time, the status of oncological diseases in the country remains complicated," the Head of the Centre said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev heard the information about the construction of a new generation of Tomotherapy Cancer Centre, which is to start up in June 2018.

Following the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific instructions on the further development of the oncological service in the country.
