Bakytzhan Sagintayev arrives in Zhambyl region on a working trip

On the instructions of the Head of the State, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev arrived in Zhambyl region with a working trip where he will get acquainted with the implementation of state programs and tasks of the Address "Third Modernization: Global Competitiveness" in the region, and hold a cluster meeting on the AIC development and meet with regional entrepreneurs.

Upon arrival in Taraz, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited a number of social facilities of the region.

On the example of the construction of multi-storey residential buildings in Aray micro-district, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the implementation of the Nurly Zher Housing Construction Program in the region. The deputy akim of Zhambyl region Galymzhan Abdraimov reported on the state and prospects of construction. In the current year, under the Nurly Zher program, four projects are being implemented in the region to commission over 258 apartments for 17.7 thousand square meters, and 922 land plots for individual housing construction. In 2018, it is planned to complete the construction of 13 multi-storey buildings, or commission of 1070 apartments.

In general, for 10 months of this year, the rates of construction in Kazakhstan in comparison with the same period in 2016 improved by 1.8%. In total, 8.8 million m2 of housing have been commissioned.

The Prime Minister was also informed about the prospects for the development of sports in the region. Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the training complex for the preparation of the Olympic reserve "Athletic", where every day more than 2 thousand athletes are engaged in various power sports: Greco-Roman wrestling, kickboxing, taekwondo, arm-wrestling, etc.

In total, 46 sports institutions function in the Zhambyl region, about 22,000 athletes regularly participate in various sports, 14,000 of them — in rural sports schools. For today, the sportsmen of the region have won 1387 medals, including 577 gold medals at the official international and republican competitions.

The Prime Minister was informed about the measures taken to develop the healthcare system during the visit to the regional perinatal center. The new clinic, built in 2015, taking into account international requirements, is equipped with the necessary modern equipment for simultaneous servicing of 200 patients. In total in 2017, 24.2 billion tenge is allocated for financing the region's healthcare system. As of November 1 this year, 19.6 billion tenge or 99.7% of the plan was executed for the reporting period.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan visited West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Almaty, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Karaganda, Akmola, Atyrau, South Kazakhstan, Mangistau regions and the cities of Astana and Almaty.
