Bakytzhan Sagintayev gets acquainted with implementation of SPIID projects in Zhambyl region

During the working trip to Zhambyl region, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the large backbone enterprise of the region — the only plant in Kazakhstan for mineral fertilizers, Kazphosphate LLP, implemented within the framework of the State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development of Kazakhstan.

The chemical plant produces mineral fertilizers, feed defluorinated phosphates for agriculture. Bakytzhan Sagintayev was informed about the current production figures, as well as the increase in export volumes.

According to Mukash Iskandirov, general director of Kazphosphate LLP, reconstruction of the plant in 2016 within the framework of SPIID allowed them to increase production volumes twice. In 2017, 300 thousand tons of phosphate mineral fertilizers were produced, of which 108 thousand tons are sold on the domestic market with 100% coverage of Kazakhstan's needs.

About 200 thousand tons are exported to China, Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Uruguay, Argentina. Work is underway to develop the markets of Romania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Iran.

Next year, it is planned to increase production to 500 thousand tons of phosphate mineral fertilizers.

In his turn, the deputy akim of Zhambyl region, Timur Zhanke reported that within the framework of the SPIID Industrialization Map in 2017, 13 projects for the amount of 18.8 billion tenge are planned in the region with the creation of 1,448 new jobs. Since the beginning of the year, 6 projects have been implemented for the amount of 8.3 billion tenge, 398 jobs have been created.

In general, in the country, for 10 months of this year, there has been an increase in production in all basic sectors of the economy. The industry indicators improved by 7.5% compared to the same period of the last year, including 1.4% growth in the Zhambyl region.
