Today, during the press conference following the results of the meeting of the Government, Anuar Chuzhegulov, director of the Export Development and Promotion Department of MID RK, and Meirzhan Maikenov, deputy chairman of the Kazakh Invest NC, answered the journalists' questions about the situation on export of agricultural and food products.
Meirzhan Maikenov noted the positive dynamics of the development of food exports.
"To date, more than $2 billion of food products are exported from Kazakhstan. Mostly to our nearby markets, such as Russia and Central Asia," M. Maikenov said.
According to him, over the past few years, active work has been carried out on the output of Kazakh brands on the shelves of Russian retail networks. So, in more than 1000 trade outlets of the Russian Federation there are Kazakhstan goods.
"At the same time I would like to note that Kazakhstani production is available not only in the Siberian regions that are close to Kazakhstan. Last week, the first deliveries of Kazakhstani products to the stores of the northern regions of the Russian Federation were held," he added.
A total of 60 to 80 items is exported. Every year, there is a 15% growth in the number of exported goods.
At the same time, much work is now under way to export agricultural products and food products to the opening market of the PRC. As a result, for 9 months of 2017, the export of agricultural products to China increased by 20.2% (from $95.6 million to $119.9 million). Agreements have been signed for the supply of lamb meat, honey, vegetable oils. Obtaining permits for the export of lamb meat, dairy products is currently in progress. In general, there are great prospects.
Anuar Chuzhegulov, the director of the Export Development and Promotion Department of Ministry for Investments and Development, answered the question about export development in the regions of Kazakhstan.
According to him, KPI will be developed for the akimats, according to which their activities on export promotion will be evaluated. In addition, the LEB were instructed to develop Roadmaps for the support of export-oriented industries. The ultimate goal of all these measures is to achieve a twofold increase in exports by 2025.
