The main events of the week from 20 to 25 November 2017.

During the regular meeting of the Government, held last week under the chairmanship of Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the issues on measures to stimulate the export, conservation and sustainable use of the biological diversity of Kazakhstan and the digitization of the social and labor sphere were considered.

On Monday, November 20, presentation of bills on the subsoil use and energy complex was held.

On Tuesday, November 21, in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister met with D. Watson, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Corporation.

On Wednesday, November 22, B. Sagintayev held meetings on the development of startup hubs, e-government and the provision of drinking water.

On Thursday, November 23, in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister chaired a regular meeting of the State Commission for Modernization of the Economy. During the meeting, issues of transferring Samruk-Kazyna facilities to the competitive environment, as well as improving measures of state support for business entities were discussed.

During the meeting, B. Sagintayev and representatives of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK) discussed the issues of improving the mechanisms of public-private partnership, as well as the prospects for the development of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan.

Also, on Thursday in Ukimet Uyі, the Prime Minister held a meeting on strategic development of the country until 2025.

On Friday, November 24, B. Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Council on improving the investment climate. During the meeting, issues of improving the system of environmental regulation and legislation, as key factors of business development and attracting investments were discussed.
