The main events of the week from 11 to 16 December 2017.

• The highlight of the last week was the celebration of the country’s Independence Day. A number of events took place in the capital with the participation of N. Nazarbayev. In Akorda, the President presented state awards to well-known political and public figures of Kazakhstan. In the Palace of Independence, a solemn meeting dedicated to the landmark date took place. The solemn events were attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

• On behalf of the Head of State, in Ukimet Uyi Bakytzhan Sagintayev also presented prestigious awards to a group of civil servants, responsible employees of the Office of the Prime Minister and representatives of business structures.

• On December 11, the Prime Minister held meetings on the implementation of the Nurly Zher Housing Construction Program, implementation of digitalization projects, as well as introduction of new technologies presented at the Expo-2017 International Specialized Exhibition.

• On Tuesday, during the regular meeting of the Government chaired by B. Sagintayev, the results of social and economic development of Kazakhstan and execution of the republican budget for 11 months of 2017, the draft law "On Natural Monopolies", consumer protection and questions of improving the insurance mechanisms in crop production were considered.

• On Wednesday, December 13, B. Sagintayev held a meeting of the Board of Directors of JSC "SWF "Samruk-Kazyna".

• On December 14, the Prime Minister chaired meetings of the Interdepartmental Commission on the prevention of offenses and the Council on export policy.

• The same day the Prime Minister held a meeting with the chairman of the board of directors of Orascom TMT N. Sawiris in Ukimet Uyi.

• On December 16, B. Sagintayev presented the new Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture U. Shukeyev to the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

• Also this week, the Prime Minister presented the new chairman of the board – Aidar Arifkhanov elected by the decision of the Board of Directors to the collective of the Baiterek NMH.
