It is planned to draft and submit 18 bills to the Parliament in 2018 — M. Beketayev

Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev reported on the course of implementation of the plan of legislative works of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017 and the draft plan for 2018 during the Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The plan of legislative works of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017 initially provided for the development of 28 bills.

Taking into account the corrections made during the year, the Plan envisages the development of 22 bills.

"4 draft laws were signed by the Head of State, 9 are under consideration of the Parliament, 4 passed by the Parliament and sent for signature to the Head of State and 5 bills are planned to be submitted to the Majilis of the Parliament by the end of this year. Thus, it is possible to note the full execution of the Plan," said Marat Beketayev.

The Ministry of Justice, in accordance with the requirements of the law "On Legal Acts" and Government Regulations, has drafted a plan of the Government's legislative works for 2018. According to the Minister of Justice, the draft Plan has been coordinated in accordance with the established procedure with the Head of State.

"The final draft of the Plan envisages the development and submission of 18 bills to the Parliament. Of these, 5 independent draft laws and 13 draft laws presuppose amendments and additions to existing laws," said Marat Beketayev.

Based on the results of consideration of the issue at the meeting of the Government, the plan of legislative works for 2018 was approved unanimously.
