Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in the field of industrialization and investment discussed in Beijing

Today, the XIV meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese joint commission for cooperation in the field of industrialization and investment was held in Beijing.

The Kazakhstan delegation was headed by Arystan Kabikenov, Vice Minister for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan, and Chinese — by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Development and Reforms of the People's Republic of China, Ning Jizhe.

The parties discussed the implementation of the program for the development of production capacities in Kazakhstan (51 projects) initiated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev and President Xi Jinping in 2015. Also, the reports from the representatives of the Development Bank of China, the Silk Road Fund were heard, an exchange of views on further steps to develop cooperation in non-resource sectors of the economy, digitalization, green and other high technologies took place.

"Now we are studying the issues of further matching of the development programs of China and Kazakhstan. In this regard, Nursultan Nazarbayev's current Address to the people of Kazakhstan is very interesting, which we have studied deeply, and which opens great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of digitalization, industrialization, development of clean energy sources and other industries," said the deputy director of the Development Department of China Development Bank, Hu Dongsheng.

Within the framework of the two-day visit to Beijing, A. Kabykenov's meetings with the leaders of such large Chinese investor-companies as China Power International Holding, China Telecom, Shanghai Electric Corp., YTO Group, COSCO Shipping Lines, NFC, NORINCO International, etc. are also planned.
