Today at the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, First Vice Minister of Agriculture, Arman Yevniev, reported on the preparations for the 2018 spring field works.
According to Arman Yevniev, the preliminary data shows that in 2018 the sown areas will make up more than 21.8 million hectares.
"Grain crops are planned to be located on an area of 14.7 million hectares, including wheat – 11.4 million hectares. Grain fodder crops will occupy more than 2.5 million hectares with an increase of 49 thousand hectares. 2.6 million hectares will be allocated under the oilseeds. There will be 15% increase to the level of last year of the area under potatoes," A. Yevniev informed.
The deputy head of the MA RK also noted that 2.6 million tons of seeds were covered by the harvest of the current year.
According to the akimats of the regions, as of March 1, for the spring field work of the current year, the readiness of tractors is 87%, sowing complexes – 100%, seeders – 87% and tillage tools – 88%.
Vice-Minister of Energy, M. Mirzagaliyev, reported on the prices for diesel fuel for the spring period. According to him, the Ministry of Energy jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture developed the Schedule of allotting the regions among the refineries to supply diesel fuel to the 2018 field works.
As of March 16 of this year, the implementation of the March plan is 49% or 56 thousand tons. It is noted that shipment of diesel fuel from refineries for agricultural producers is carried out on a priority basis. At the same time, daily monitoring of shipments is carried out.
The recommended price of diesel fuel for carrying out spring field work in March 2018 is 156 thousand tg/t.
"At the same time, we would note that the average wholesale price on the domestic market is 170 000 tg/t. Thus, the recommended price of diesel fuel for carrying out spring field work in 2018 is 14 000 tenge below the market average," M. Mirzagaliyev summed up.
The discussion was attended by Chairman of the Board of KazAgro NMH JSC, N. Malelov, akims of the regions: South Kazakhstan – Zh. Tuimebayev, Almaty – A. Batalov, Kostanay – A. Mukhambetov, North Kazakhstan – K. Aksakalov, Akmola – M. Murzalin.
Summing up the discussion, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that, in general, the readiness for the sowing campaign is stable. On the part of the Government, all necessary decisions have been taken to provide financial and logistical support for the spring sowing campaign.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the akims of the regions are instructed to take all necessary measures in a timely manner to carry out spring field works in a quality manner.
