Today during the working visit to the South Kazakhstan region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev made an unscheduled visit to Zhibek Zholy customs post in the Saryagash district.
The international checkpoint is located in the village of Zhibek Zholy on the border with Uzbekistan. Here, border control of persons and vehicles crossing the border in both directions is carried out.
Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev was informed that up to 25 thousand individuals and up to 100 vehicles pass through the customs post per day. At the same time, according to the head of KazZholService LLP, Y. Dikanbayev, the construction of a new bus station building will create all conditions for increasing the passenger flow and the volume of freight traffic between the two countries.
Akim of Saryagash district, Kairat Abdualiyev, reported on the activities of the checkpoint, the work on expanding the customs territory, the improvement of four customs points located on the territory of the Saryagash district.
It should be recalled that today, on behalf of the Head of State, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev is on a working trip to the South Kazakhstan region. The purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with the implementation of the President's Addresses "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", "New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution" and the Five Social Initiatives.
