Today in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD, Mr. Masamichi Kono, who arrived in Astana to participate in the Conference on Tax Cooperation under the One Belt One Road Initiative.

In the course of the meeting, issues of introduction of OECD standards into the taxation in Kazakhstan and joining the structural units of the Organization under the Country Program of Cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the OECD were discussed.

For reference: In 2012, Kazakhstan became a member of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information, and today the country is undergoing a Collective Review on the implementation of standards on transparency and information exchange.

In 2014, Kazakhstan joined the Convention on Mutual and Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, within which the exchange of information takes place in the tax sphere.
