Nursultan Nazarbayev got acquainted with new objects of the capital built by the akimats of the regions within the framework of the project "Regions Present Gifts to Astana." This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

First, the Head of State visited the city Friendship House, which was reconstructed by the Mangistau region.

During the inspection of the facility, the President of Kazakhstan had a talk with representatives of the ethno-cultural centers of the capital and prominent public figures of the Mangistau region.

"In all regions of the country there are Friendship Houses, in which ethno-cultural associations of regions are located and work. Now the House of Friendship has its own capital. I congratulate you on this remarkable event," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Akim of the Mangistau region Yeraly Tugzhanov presented to the Head of State a draft project of the House of Friendship, which provides rooms for the library, museum, folk arts and crafts workshops, a conference hall and a center for language learning. The total area of ​​the building is 4000 m².

Also, in the course of acquaintance with new objects of the city, the Head of State visited Zhetysu Park, which was reconstructed by the Almaty region on the 20th anniversary of the capital.

Akim of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov told Nursultan Nazarbayev that all the sights of the region are collected in the park: the entrance group of seven arches, representing Semirechye, the main avenue with fountains, the Aport square with imitating hills and yurts, the Tengri space with playgrounds for children of different ages, an ash tree alley, stones with petroglyphs of Tamgaly Tas, as well as the Charyn Canyon.

On the improvised stage, leading artists and representatives of ethnocultural centers of the Almaty region addressed the President of Kazakhstan and the audience.

Speaking to the audience, the Head of State noted that the Almaty region presented to Astana's anniversary a wonderful gift — a park that will undoubtedly become a favorite resting place for all residents of the capital.

"All regions now help and support, because Astana is the creation of the whole of Kazakhstan. All regions took part in its construction, and today people from all regions live here. Together we created a miracle in the 21st century. In the history of mankind, such cities have never been built in 20 years. And we did it!” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

At the end of his speech, the President of Kazakhstan thanked the leadership of the region and builders, and also congratulated all those present on the upcoming Day of the Capital and wished peace, well-being and prosperity.

The Head of State visited the park Zheruik, located in the Almaty district of the city, where he was shown the first tree planted here 19 years ago.

In addition, during the inspection of the place, the Head of State got acquainted with the technical and operational characteristics of the cycling pedestrian bridge across the Esil River.

Akim of Atyrau region Nurlan Nogayev informed Nursultan Nazarbayev that the bridge will provide communication between pedestrian flows and the bicycle network of the park zone and the coast line on the right bank of the Esil River.

"If you look at the bridge from above, you can see that its shell resembles the shape of a fish, which is a symbol of the Atyrau region," Nogayev noted.

The President of Kazakhstan stressed that the new bridge is a worthy gift of the Atyrau region, which will serve the residents and guests of the capital for many years.

"Astana citizens should be grateful to all our regions who took part in the preparation of these facilities. The whole country built the capital, and the whole country should rejoice," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In addition, Akim of Astana Asset Issekeshev presented Nursultan Nazarbayev 56 km of cycling infrastructure, which are laid across the embankment, the left bank of the Esil River, the facilities of the Expo complex, and are designed to connect the ski-roller track of the city park and the bicycle path passing through the “green belt” from the village of Ilyinka. Cycle tracks are equipped with "smart technologies": benches with special tables and bike parks, Wi-Fi and charging for phones.

At the end of the inspection, a theatrical concert program "Uly Dala Zhuregi — Astana" was organized on the stage of an amphitheater under the open sky by the artists of the Philharmonic Society and Atyrau region’s concert collectives.
