Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of the Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna SWF

Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired an in-person meeting of the Board of Directors of JSC Sovereign Wealth Fund “Samruk-Kazyna.”

At the meeting, the implementation of the transformation program of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, privatization issues, the results of work for 2017 and the development plans for the company for 2018-2022 were discussed.

The meeting heard a report on the implementation of the Fund's Transformation Program, which contains data on benefits and investments from 2014 to the first quarter of 2018. Regular review of the Report at the Fund’s Board of Directors is necessary for timely response and management decisions that will improve the effectiveness of implementing the initiatives of the Program in the future.

Samruk-Kazyna Fund was founded in 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The mission of the investment holding is to increase the national welfare of the country and support the modernization of the national economy. The Fund manages portfolio companies — to increase their long-term value and sustainable development, as well as through investing in the development of priority sectors of the national economy.
