170 new industrial projects to be launched in Kazakhstan in 2023

170 new investment projects in the sphere of industry are planned to be launched in 2023. This was reported by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov at the meeting on social and economic development of the country under the chairman of the Head of State.

As Alikhan Smailov noted, this year the economy is planned to attract 18.3 trillion tg of investments to the fixed capital. A nationwide pool of 873 investment projects worth 28.1 trillion tg is under development. At the same time 24 foreign companies have moved to Kazakhstan within the framework of relocation and the work on 43 more is going on.

"This year 170 projects worth 1 trillion tg will be launched in the industrial sector. Due to this it is planned to create about 15 thousand new workplaces," Prime Minister stressed.

According to him, in the oil and gas sphere the implementation of projects on future expansion and management of wellhead pressure at Tengiz is going on, construction of the 5th compressor started and a project on preparation of marketable gas with annual capacity of 4 billion cubic meters at Karachaganak is being developed.

In addition, construction of a gas processing plant with a capacity of more than 1 billion cubic meters continues at the Kashagan field and construction of another gas processing plant with a capacity of 4 billion cubic meters is under consideration.
