The President of Kazakhstan participates in opening ceremony of III World Nomad Games

The President of Kazakhstan, at the invitation of President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, has taken part in the opening ceremony of the III World Nomad Games held in Cholpon Ata, the press service of Akorda reports.

Presidents of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban have also attended the ceremony.

More than a thousand actors, musicians, singers, riders and athletes performed in the theatrical performance using 3D-graphics, which showed circus acts, art of dzhigitovka (varied advanced routine on running horses), fire show and acrobatic stunts.

The Games are in 37 athletic disciplines, including 16 Kyrgyz national sports and 21 athletic disciplines of other nomadic nations. Among them there are 8 kinds of equestrian competitions for different distances, 13 variants of wrestling, 5 disciplines on shooting from a traditional bow, three intellectual competitions, and also competitions on national hunting with hounds and hunting birds. The Games will be attended by about 2000 athletes from more than 60 countries.
