Askar Mamin and Dmitry Rogozin discuss cooperation in outer space

September 15 in Moscow the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a working meeting with Director General of the State Corporation for Space Activities Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for the further development of the Baikonur complex, discussed the implementation of the joint Kazakh-Russian project Baiterek.

The order of the further work of the Intergovernmental Commission on the Baikonur Complex and the development of Baikonur was discussed. Currently, the issues of creating a special economic zone in the city of Baikonur are being studied with a view to attracting investments.

Also during the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the joint creation of space communication satellites were discussed.
