Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructs to pay special attention to indicators of real incomes of the population in regions

During the consideration of the country’s socio-economic development results for 10 months of 2018, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev drew the attention of the ministries and akims of the regions to the need to analyze the growth of real incomes of the population.

The Head of State in the Address “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Incomes and Quality of Life,” sets the task of increasing incomes of the population.

According to data presented at the meeting, growth of indicators in various sectors of the economy is ensured. At the same time, the Prime Minister noted the low rates of real incomes in the regions. Akims of Kyzylorda regions K. Kusherbayev, Mangistau — E. Tugzhanov, Almaty city — B. Baybek and deputy akim of Almaty region L. Turlashov reported on the reasons for the current situation and planned measures.

Having listened to the reports, Sagintayev instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the local executive bodies to analyze the current situation of incomes in the country. This refers to the difference between the income growth rates of the population in nominal and real terms.

According to the Ministry of National Economy, the average per capita nominal income of the population in January-August 2018 amounted to 707,900 tenge and increased compared to the corresponding period of 2017 by 10% in nominal terms. At the same time, income growth in real terms was 3.5%. In the context of the regions for the second quarter, growth in real incomes of the population above the national average (4.7%) is observed in four regions.

When preparing reports on socio-economic development, it was instructed first of all to pay attention to the income indicators of the population, and akimats should not refer to incorrect statistical data and other reasons. Consideration of the socio-economic development results for 11 months should begin with this question.
