In support of President’s Address, enterprises of Pavlodar region to increase salaries for 23 thousand employees

This initiative is also widely supported by the business community. This time, the Eurasian Group Company announced its intention to raise wages of employees.

In October 2018 the Head of State in his Address “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Incomes and Quality of Life,” instructed the Government to increase the minimum wage by 1.5 times from Jan. 1, 2019. This initiative is also widely supported by the business community. This time, the Eurasian Group Company announced its intention to raise wages of employees.

As the Head of the Human Resources Department of Aluminum of Kazakhstan JSC Sofya Levitina noted, the Eurasian Group has already developed a program to improve the welfare of the group's employees in accordance with the Presidential Address. Thus, the Eurasian Group plans to allocate 17.6 billion tenge from Jan. 1, 2019, for increasing salaries. In total, the increase will affect 58,500 people. At the same time, 23 thousand people are employees of the enterprises in the Pavlodar region.

“Naturally, the increase will also affect our enterprise — Aluminum of Kazakhstan JSC. These are 9,300 people. Aluminum of Kazakhstan is located in Pavlodar and Kostanay regions. In Pavlodar region — this is 5,900 people who will be affected by wage increases. The increase will be from 9 to 14% for different categories of workers,” explained Levitina.

According to her, the increase will depend on the qualifications and experience of workers. At the same time, it is guaranteed that the amount of accrued monthly wages is higher than the industry coefficient, which is located in the mining and metallurgical industry.

At the same time, Levitina informed that during this year the company have been prepared to switch to a new wage system for workers, the basis of which is the transparency and differentiation of wages. Workers will be transferred to the salary system, in which they will be guaranteed to receive part of their salary, regardless of external and internal factors.

Recall, earlier in the course of Prime Minister Sagintayev’s working visits to the regions on the implementation of the President’s Address, a number of large companies announced their intention to increase the salaries of their employees. The enterprise of the East Kazakhstan region, the construction company Asia LLP, from Jan. 1, 2019, increases the minimum wage to employees by 50%. Bakyrchik Mining Enterprise LLP is also considering the issue of increasing employee salaries. In the Almaty region, the decision to increase the minimum wage to employees was announced by Almaty Paint LLP, Abdi Ibrahim Global Farm LLP, Zharkent Starch Factory.

In addition, since October 2018, wages were raised by 34% to employees of the Mutlu Export LLP plant in the Karaganda region.
