In first quarter of 2021, gross agricultural output increased by 3% — Saparkhan Omarov

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov presented a report on the results of socio-economic growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan In January-April 2021.

So, in the first quarter of this year, the volume of gross agricultural production increased by 3% and amounted to 831.2 billion tenge.

“The growth was mainly due to an increase in production volumes in animal husbandry by 3.2%. There was a high growth in the production of meat in live weight by 5.3%, milk — by 3.4%,” Omarov said.

At the same time, crop products were produced for 44.8 billion tenge, IFO at the level of 100%. This volume is provided by growing crops in greenhouses.

In terms of regions, rates higher than republican ones were noted in 4 regions: Akmola — 114%, Karaganda — 104.5%, Pavlodar — 104.1% and Zhambyl — 103.1%.

Food production for the specified period increased by 3.9% and amounted to 673.6 billion tenge.

At the same time, there is an increase in the production of beet sugar by 28.9%, processed rice by 23.7%, butter by 23.3%, cereals by 21.7%, vegetable oil by 15%, flour by 11.4%, cheese and cottage cheese by 9.6%, processed milk by 3.7%.

The volume of investments in fixed assets in agriculture increased by 66.1% and amounted to 163.2 billion tenge, food production by 37.3% and amounted to 28.4 billion tenge.

“In general, the ministry is taking all the necessary measures to achieve the planned results,” concluded the minister.
