The epidemiological situation in the country was considered at a government conference call chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, Chair of the Board of SK-Pharmacy Yerkhat Iskaliyev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Internal Affairs Yerlan Turgumbayev, Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar reported on the sanitary and epidemiological situation and measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
The Head of Government noted that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country is stable. The reproductive rate of infection is 0.93, which indicates the effectiveness of the measures taken. At the same time, taking into account the instability of the epidemic in the world and in a number of bordering countries, it is necessary to strengthen measures to comply with sanitary requirements.
The prime minister instructed the interested state bodies and regional akimats to ensure 100% readiness of sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Ministry of Healthcare — until Oct. 15, 2020, to purchase and transfer the necessary technical and protective equipment to the regions.
The ministries of internal affairs and healthcare, together with akimats, were instructed to strengthen the work of monitoring groups to control compliance with sanitary requirements, to suppress any violations of the sanitary regime.
Measures to strengthen sanitary and quarantine control in relation to persons arriving in Kazakhstan from abroad will be considered at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission.
“The Ministry of Healthcare, together with SK-Pharmacy and akimats, ensure the availability of drugs and protective equipment in medical organizations and pharmacies. It is necessary to control prices for medicines in the regions,” Mamin said.
