Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with the President of LUKOIL PJSC Vagit Alekperov.

The parties discussed the state of and prospects for the implementation of joint investment projects in the fields of exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons, as well as oil and gas processing.

Particular attention was paid to the further development of the Karachaganak project, the implementation of the Kalamkas Sea and Khazar, Khvalynskoye, Centralnaya, Zhenis and Al-Farabi projects.

Alikhan Smailov noted the importance of PJSC LUKOIL's maximum use of local content in goods, works and services, personnel, as well as the use of modern environmentally friendly technologies in the implementation of projects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
