Administrative burden on farmers to be reduced in future — Alikhan Smailov

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov visited one of the largest milk processing companies in the country MILH LLP in the framework of his working visit to Kostanay region.

The company produces more than 120 names of dairy products and sends it both to the domestic market and for export to various regions of the Russian Federation. In the future, the company plans to enter the Chinese market.

The company plants are equipped with modern high-tech equipment. It is planned to launch a new manufacturing facility for the production of cheese in 2023 with the assistance of the German partner.

Prime Minister said that one of the main tasks in the agricultural sector is to increase the production of competitive agricultural processed products, particularly dairy products.

"We need to fully support ourselves and enter foreign markets. There is a huge potential in this direction," Alikhan Smailov said.

Alikhan Smalov also held a meeting with agricultural producers of the region, where they discussed issues of processing and export of agricultural products, job creation, subsidies, preferential lending, irrigation, procurement of fodder, etc. during his visit to the enterprise. 

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government will continue step-by-step expansion of support to producers, including by means of subsidizing and increase of credit resources availability.

"This year, the amount of funding for agriculture has been doubled. The development of the agro-industrial complex is of key importance in terms of ensuring food security and strengthening the social sphere. We want to increase productivity in the industry and the efficiency of each tenge invested," the Prime Minister said.

"We consider systemic issues on a weekly basis, solve certain problems of business. The Ministry of Agriculture is now reviewing all requirements for entrepreneurs in this area, about 20% of them will be reduced. Accordingly, the administrative burden on business in the near future will be reduced, "Alikhan Smailov concluded.
