Agreements worth $2.5bn signed at Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan business forum in Tashkent

Following the inter-regional Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan business forum held in Tashkent on 21 December this year, 40 documents on investment and trade-economic cooperation between the two countries for a total of $2.5 billion have been signed. 

The forum was attended by over 400 delegates from both sides.

B2G and B2B meetings were held at the business forum, and new avenues of cooperation were explored.

Participants of QazTrade support programs concluded 11 commercial documents totaling $112.7 mln, including an agreement between Kazakhstan's Temirzhol Jondeu LLP and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari on supply of railway repair services on Angren-Pap-Kokand-Andijan-Savay section. The contractual obligations under the contract will amount to over $80 million. 

In addition, agreements have been signed on the introduction of artificial intelligence in the health sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the export of aluminum rods, flour, apple juice and spices by Kazakhstan companies. 

Today, there are more than 1,400 enterprises with the participation of Uzbekistan's capital and more than 400 joint Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan companies in trade, professional and scientific activities, construction, transport, warehousing and other sectors.
