Alikhan Smailov holds Digitalization Commission meeting

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, held a meeting of the Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Digitalization.

The Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry said that the Digital Family Card information system was developed as part of the development of the state Smart Data Ukimet platform for proactive assignment of social support measures.

All citizens of the country are distributed in the system into 5.9 million families and 5 categories according to economic, social and housing conditions, health and education indicators. Based on this data, the necessary support measures are determined, and then an SMS message is sent to the person with an offer to accept them.

Thus, payments of 5 types of allowances have been allocated in this way since Sept. 1, 2022 in pilot mode: for birth and care of a child, for care of a disabled child, for unemployment, and for disability. It is also planned to connect 5 more services until the end of the year: social payment for the loss of the breadwinner, allowance for mothers with many children, Targeted Social Assistance, allowance for those awarded by insignia of distinction Kumis Alka or Altyn Alkya, as well as pension payments.

Prime Minister supported the ongoing work and instructed to activate the integration of information systems of government agencies and quasi-state companies on the basis of a single platform for effective data analysis and improving the quality of public services.

In addition, the participants discussed the eHealth development that should unite all the information systems of the Ministry of Healthcare, its subordinate and medical organizations. It will contribute to the complete formation of the national electronic health passport of citizens, that will increase the quality and accessibility of health care, focused on the needs of each individual, as well as the transition to the continuous monitoring of the health of patients in general.

The implementation of the 5G/IMT fifth-generation cellular communication standard was also considered at the meeting. Also, in the near future there will be an open auction for the allocation of radio frequencies. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 100 companies will be able to participate in it in order to ensure competitive conditions.
