Alikhan Smailov meets with Gautam Adani

Prospects for launching a number of investment projects in Kazakhstan were discussed by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and President of Adani Group Gautam Adani.

Thus, the possibilities of implementing projects in sectors such as transport and logistics, energy, mining and metallurgical complex, petrochemicals, agriculture, etc. were considered.

The Prime Minister stressed that all these areas are priorities for Kazakhstan's economy.

"In this regard, we see great potential in cooperation with Adani Group and welcome the intention of your company to be present in our country," Alikhan Smailov said.

He added that the republic has created favorable conditions for launching new investment projects and doing business in general. At the same time, according to him, the government is ready to provide all necessary support for implementation of projects of the holding in Kazakhstan.

In turn, Gautam Adani noted that the Adani Group is primarily interested in projects on development of civil aviation, petrochemical sector, transport and logistics infrastructure, renewable energy and production of green hydrogen.

"We are interested in long-term investments, and we would like to know what opportunities we have in Kazakhstan and what projects may be of common interest to us. We are determined to work very actively," Gautam Adani said.

For reference: Adani Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate founded in 1988 by Gautam Adani. The group has a presence in 70 countries and holds assets with a combined value of $100 billion. Over the years, the conglomerate has created more than 100,000 direct and indirect jobs worldwide.
