At the Government session, Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov reported on the ongoing efforts to ensure affordable diesel fuel supply for agricultural producers.

He noted that on January 30, the Ministries of Energy and Agriculture approved the schedule for the supply of 400.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel for spring fieldwork during the period from February 1 to June 30, 2025. The diesel price is set at 254 tenge per liter including VAT, which is 15–20 percent lower than retail prices at fuel stations.

To ensure transparency and control over the distribution of diesel fuel for agricultural producers, the following measures have been implemented:

• Separate PIN codes have been issued;

• Diesel fuel is color-coded: yellow (Atyrau Oil Refinery), blue (Shymkent Oil Refinery), and red (Pavlodar Oil Refinery);

• A dedicated virtual warehouse has been created for diesel fuel in the electronic invoicing system.

For the spring fieldwork, the total demand from agricultural producers is 400.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel, of which 215 thousand tons (54 percent) were delivered between February and April.

"In this regard, to ensure timely diesel fuel supply to agricultural producers, it is necessary to expedite payment for the allocated volumes within 10 working days from the date of signing the petroleum product purchase agreement with the supplier. Deliveries to agricultural producers are carried out on a priority basis and remain under constant monitoring," Yerlan Akkenzhenov emphasized.
