Askar Mamin introduces new head of the Prime Minister’s Office
Prime Minister Askar Mamin presented the new leader, Darkhan Kaletayev, to the team of the Office of the Prime Minister on March 1, 2019, in Ukimet Uyi.
Darkhan Kaletayev was born in 1972 in the East Kazakhstan region. He graduated from East Kazakhstan State University, National Higher School of Public Administration. He began his career in 1995. He worked in the Presidential Administration, ministries of education and culture, information and public consent. In 2007-2008 he served as deputy head of the Presidential Administration, in 2008-2009 — first deputy chairman of the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party, in 2009-2016 — managing director of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund. In October 2016 by the Presidential Decree he was appointed deputy of the Senate of the Parliament. Since September 2017 he was a member of the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Parliament. From April 2018 he was minister of social development of Kazakhstan.
