The significance of this holiday lies in the common determination to preserve our values and to show care to those who need it. This is the true embodiment of the patriotic spirit. The past floods were another proof of this. Over 17,000 servicemen were mobilised as soon as possible and joined the rescue operations.

The Defender of the Fatherland Day holiday allows us to celebrate once again the courage and valour of our soldiers and officers, their impeccable fulfilment of their duty to the Fatherland. I express my deep gratitude for your selfless labour in this difficult time and your contribution to national security.

May your courage and strength be a reliable support for Kazakhstan in any trials.
