Yeraly Tugzhanov participates in Republican August Meeting 

Republican August Meeting "Education and Science: Features of the New Academic Year" was held online on Aug. 21, 2020, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov.

During the meeting, Tugzhanov focused on the safety and health of children when opening schools.

“We need to think over everything in detail, from the entrance of students to the school to their transportation home. It is necessary to appoint specific persons on duty to meet and accompany the children. It is necessary to organize ‘filters’ at the entrance to the building, install thermal imagers, disinfectant tunnels and mats for shoes, air recirculators, sanitizers, etc.,’’ Tugzhanov said.

In preschool education, the deputy prime minister instructed to introduce indicators of the quality of the work of kindergartens, accepted in world practice, such as the level of parental satisfaction, public assessment, quality of nutrition, the level of development of children, etc.

Tugzhanov paid special attention to educational work with children: "all training must constantly go through education, and with the active involvement of parents." He instructed at the legislative level to provide funding for additional education.

He also instructed to create a republican pedagogical council, which should become the voice of the entire pedagogical community.

The deputy prime minister noted the need to take decisive measures to develop vocational education to ensure youth employment and diversify the economy. Tugzhanov instructed to adopt a program for the development of competitiveness of domestic universities, stressing that the main principle of universities should be learning through research.
