Prices for diesel fuel for farmers not to change until sowing work completed — Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

Cheaper diesel fuel for farmers is allocated in full, the prices will remain unchanged until the completion of the spring field work. Alikhan Smailov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, told about it following the results of the Government session.

According to him, 413 thousand tons of cheaper diesel fuel has been allocated to the regions of the country, which is 13 thousand tons more than last year. The approved volume for the spring field work is shipped on a priority basis.

"I can assure you that prices for diesel fuel for farmers will not change before the completion of the spring field work. Taking into account the costs of operators, the average cost in the republic is 204 tenge per liter. This is 15-20% lower than the current price on the domestic market," he said.

At the same time the government together with regional akimats will strengthen control measures to bring cheaper fuel to agricultural producers.

"We allocate the necessary volumes of cheapened diesel fuel. But some operators do not fully comply with their obligations to bring cheaper diesel fuel to all farmers. We will now strengthen monitoring, check all facts and bring unscrupulous operators to justice. We will not work with them in the future," the Head of Government assured.
