Entrepreneurs must strictly observe sanitary standards — Alikhan Smailov

At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Azhar Giniyat reported that the situation with the incidence of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan has not stabilized, the level continues to be high.

Most regions remain in the red zone. The greatest increase in the disease is recorded in Pavlodar, Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions. Taking into account the reduction of quarantine restrictions for entrepreneurs, the Head of Government instructed NCE Atameken to work with businesses on the issue of social responsibility to comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

“Entrepreneurs must take a responsible approach to their work. In each trade or food facility, in production, all necessary measures must be strictly observed to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. And the business itself should follow this, it is in its interests,” Smailov said.

The Prime Minister instructed to continue monitoring the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country, ensure strict compliance with sanitary requirements in all educational institutions, significantly intensify work on vaccination and revaccination of the population.

Despite earlier instructions, only half of the eligible population has been vaccinated in Mangystau and Kostanay regions. The situation with revaccination in the capital, Almaty and Mangystau regions has not improved.

As a positive example, the Head of Government cited the East Kazakhstan region, where vaccination coverage reached 100%, revaccination — 80%, as well as Zhambyl region with vaccination coverage of almost 100%, revaccination — 66% of the population.
